The weekend of May 10-12, 2013 will premier our annual Peckerwood Farm Birding Weekend. We are excited to spend the weekend searching out the rare and elusive avian fauna of Southwest Michigan as they make their way north. This should coincide with the peak of spring migration. We will have the luxury of searching for birds in two local state parks which have a varied habitat, giving us chances for seeing a large number of species. Please plan to join us for all or part of the weekend. Below is the preliminary itinerary (please note, all times are local MI time):
Friday, May 10
5PM-9PM: Birding and Cocktails at Peckerwood Farm (Dinner: Pizza & Salad Delivery)
Saturday, May 11
Early AM to Noon: Birding at Warren Dunes State Park/Floral Lane
Lunch: Red Arrow Roadhouse
Early Afternoon: Birding at Warren Woods State Park
Late Afternoon: Free time (nap, shopping, etc.)
7PM: Cookout at the Peckerwood Farm Firepit
Sunday, May 12
Early AM to mid-morning: Birding at Peckerwood Farm
